How to Set Up IMAP Email on the Gmail App

Setting up your business email on the Gmail app allows you to access your messages securely from anywhere. Follow these simple steps to get started.

Step 1: Open the Gmail App

Download and open the Gmail app on your mobile device. Tap your profile icon in the top right corner, then select “Add another account.”

Step 2: Choose Account Type

Select “Other” as the account type when prompted.

Step 3: Enter Your Email Address

Type in your full email address (e.g., info@yourdomain.com) and tap Next.

Step 4: Select IMAP

Choose IMAP as the account type to enable two-way email syncing.

Step 5: Enter Incoming Server Settings

Fill in the following details:

  • Username: Your full email address

  • Password: Your email password

  • IMAP Server: mail.yourdomain.com

  • Port: 993

  • Security Type: SSL/TLS

Tap Next to continue.

Step 6: Enter Outgoing Server Settings

Add the outgoing mail details:

  • SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com

  • Port: 465

  • Security Type: SSL/TLS

  • Require sign-in: Enabled

  • Username & Password: Same as incoming settings

Tap Next.

Step 7: Account Options & Finish

Choose your sync preferences and notification settings, then tap Next to complete the setup.

Your IMAP email is now successfully connected to the Gmail app, allowing you to send and receive emails anytime with real-time synchronization.
